Eric Vaughan, CEO, IgniteTech & Khoros
Four weeks ago, we acquired Khoros.
Since then, there’s been speculation—about what changed, what we’re doing and where this platform is headed. Some focused on staffing. Others asked about continuity and direction. We’ve seen all of it.
This post is here to clarify the facts—and, more importantly, to show where we’re headed next.
In just four weeks, we’ve completed a full operating reset. Most companies take quarters to do this. We did it with speed, depth and structure.
We held hundreds of one-on-one conversations with Khoros employees around the world. Everyone received a clear answer—at the same time. Some exited with full severance and transparency. Others stayed on in transition roles, supported by a seven-figure bonus pool designed to recognize their contributions and ensure continuity and knowledge transfer for customer success.
Every employee, regardless of role, had access to INTOO, a global outplacement partner—engaged at substantial cost as part of our commitment to support people with real tools and opportunity. We also explicitly encouraged transition employees to pursue their next role while still under contract.
At the same time, we launched new hiring pipelines on Day 1. Through our proprietary recruiting platform, Crossover.com, we began screening and onboarding global candidates aligned to our AI-first structure. This platform has been built over more than a decade to recruit, test and hire across 100+ countries. Most companies figure out hiring after the fact. We had it live when the deal closed.
We’ve already hired new team members through that engine. They met the bar and are already contributing. That’s by design.
We’ve also seen strong inbound interest. As we’ve built and communicated our AI-first model, we’ve attracted world-class talent—engineers, designers, product leaders—who come not because they need a job, but because they want to work where AI is actually being deployed. They’ve seen our product launches, our talks at AI summits and our operating discipline. This is where serious AI practitioners want to build.
That’s the model we’ve used to rebuild more than 150 companies—and it’s working here.
We’ve been especially focused on customers
Alongside the org transition, we’ve worked hard to bring clarity and partnership to customers.
We hosted two live webinars attended by hundreds of customers. We laid out what’s changing, what’s not and what’s coming—specifically and concretely—starting in Q3. We reaffirmed full support for Classic Community, launched an updated customer email, which we invite everyone to engage with at khoros@ignitetech.ai, and we are scheduling customer roadmap calls to continue the dialogue.
This is not a sunset. It’s a rebuild. And we’re inviting customers into the process, not pushing them through it.
This isn’t theory. We’re already delivering.
Khoros One was already in early access at the time of acquisition. We’ve brought visibility to it and accelerated its path. And starting this quarter, new AI-powered features begin rolling out:
Classic Community remains fully supported. No forced migrations. No buried announcements. We’ll only ask customers to move when the new platform is measurably better.
Unlike many companies we acquire, IgniteTech has operated profitably for years. That gives us the freedom not to extract but to invest. We don’t delay product work due to cash constraints. We don’t postpone support upgrades while waiting on the next funding round. We don’t gamble stability for growth headlines.
Instead, we use profitability to fuel execution.
In the last year alone, we’ve shipped deep updates to legacy platforms like Jive, launched standalone AI-native products like Eloquens AI and MyPersonas and invested in shared AI services that now power functionality across our ecosystem. That same infrastructure is now being built into Khoros.
We’ve seen posts from passionate community leaders. That passion matters.
No one writes long, detailed takes on a platform unless they care. We respect that—and we intend to earn it. We’re not just stabilizing Khoros. We’re rebuilding it to lead.
If you want to see what’s coming, we invite you to join a roadmap call. If you’re a former team member and believe you’re ready for this next chapter, please apply. If you’re a customer, we ask that you hold us to a high bar. We’re ready for it.
This isn’t a patch. It’s progress—and it’s already underway.
We know everything won’t go perfectly—and we’re not pretending it will. But what you’ll see is a clear, proactive plan, real execution, and a team that’s listening. Come along for the ride, influence our direction, and hold us accountable. We’ll pivot when we need to—and we’ll keep moving.
This isn’t the end of Khoros. It’s the future.
