The Diversity & Inclusion Awareness Committee’s purpose is to educate and spread awareness to the workforce on the collective differences that are representative of the world. Since its creation, our committee has brought awareness to important themes and viewpoints, including disability awareness, generational differences, unconscious bias, Black History Month, LatinX Heritage Month, and PRIDE month. We’ve learned a lot along the way and are excited to expand upon our progress in the months and years to come.

In years past, members of our Strategic Services team have dedicated a portion of their time to provide pro-bono strategic counsel to local nonprofits, including Casa Marianella (Austin, TX) and City Growers (NYC). Inspired by the impact of this work and a desire to scale, we’ve launched the Khoros Social Responsibility (KSR) Program to offer both our software and services to women-owned and minority-owned businesses and nonprofits that do not currently have the capacity to invest in our offerings.
Khoros offers 3 days of paid volunteer time off (VTO) to encourage employees to give back to their local communities by volunteering with any organization of their choice. We also support our local communities in the cities where we work through various volunteer events and partnerships, such as Thanksgiving meals for refugees in partnership with Refugee Services of TX, the Austin Pride Parade with Out Youth, the Austin Cup Bowling Tournament for Center for Child Protection, and annual participation in the Angel Tree Program for Salvation Army.
Khoros gives back to local charitable organizations through corporate donations and employee donation-matching. Beneficiaries have included The Center for Social Inclusion, Center for Child Protection, Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, and more.
